If you hadn’t noticed already, I live by the beach, and that means I have a designated beach bag. After stuffing my towel and all my beach necessities into my bag, it’s quite a bulky thing to lug around. I had no idea there could be a better way to carry my things, and really never even thought of it.
Let me introduce my new favorite beach accessory!
Do you see this bag I’m carrying? It’s actually a towel! A towel that folds into a bag and it’s the most awesome thing I’ve ever come across!
Turkish towels, also called hammam or peshtemal towels, are hand loomed and made in Turkey and they have a soft texture that gets FLUFFIER with each wash!
My friend Leslie of @CrescentMoonCollectively is passionate about Turkish towels and she gave me this one to try out. It was a misty January morning but I couldn’t wait so I tossed my water bottle, a book, and some crystals in it and headed to the beach! This towel (or bag? I don’t know what to call it!) is super lightweight and insanely soft. It’s large enough for two people to lay on and I love the chevron stripe pattern. I feel like I have the coolest beach accessory out there! When I shook it out, the sand seriously did not stick to it! It dried WAY faster than your average towel, which means less chances of that mildew smell. I’m in love with it!
