Why Shine is the Only Non-Toxic Skincare I Trust

Did you see my Instagram video where I threw away all my hair and skincare products? That’s because from here on I will ONLY be using chemical free and non-toxic skincare brands! Although that isn’t as easy as it sounds because the United States does not strictly regulate the toxic ingredients in our skin and beauty products. It’s hard to trust the ingredients in big-box, mass produced brands. Likewise, it’s even harder trying to research all the bizarre ingredients you’ll find on most labels!

I found the holy grail of skincare!

In my search for products with better ingredients, I found Shine Skincare and this little business has won me over! I’m obsessed with their high quality ingredients and the eye-catching, all-natural colors. Also have to mention I love the fact that they’re here in California! The Shine Skincare website says “My mission is to help you cultivate self love through self care. Shine embodies the idea of allowing your inner beauty to shine through!“

These are some of my favorite products:

The Greens+Ginseng Cleanser is loaded with powerhouse ingredients like spirulina and provitamin b5. This face wash helps promote brighter and smoother skin and is great for sensitive types. There is a faint, natural scent to it, the texture is silky smooth, and a little goes a long way.🧼

I use the Glow Up Retinol Oil in place of a moisturizer! It won’t clog your pores, it’s very gentle, and smells lightly floral. This serum is great for acne, redness, and sun spots while giving you a moisturized glow. Retinol is a necessity for aging skin.🧬

The Overnight Radiance Mask has a ton of botanical extracts that gently exfoliate overnight. It goes on weightless and it’s not messy. I use it twice a week and wake up with softer, brighter skin!☀️

I used the Bentonite + Greens Mask on myself and my boyfriend (who was a willing participant)! Bentonite clay is EXCELLENT at drawing out impurities. The texture was soooo smooth and it was thick enough to be applied without a mess. The mask dried in about 15 minutes, going from dark to light; which let’s you know that it’s time to wash it off.

After washing with the Glycolic Cleanser we moisturized with the Beauty Elixir and my boyfriend was amazed at how soft his skin was! After showering his face often feels tight and the elixir made his skin feel “silky soft”. He already has great skin but these nutrients will keep his skin healthy and radiant.

One of my favorites is the Apple Essence Toner. Because there’s a tiny amount of golden shimmer! Your girl LOVES SHIMMER! Best of all it contains tons of antioxidants and botanicals to brighten your skin. A spray toner is so convenient; I carry it in my purse for a refresher throughout the day.

As much as I love my facial skincare…

I also like to indulge the rest of my body too! The Antioxidant Body Wash smells a little fruity and the Antioxidant Body Lotion smells faintly like damp grass. Both have convenient pump tops and both textures are perfectly silky. Together they make a powerhouse combination for any BODY, girls and guys both!
