As I was browsing through my pictures from this beach photo session I realized just how many “bad” ones I had. I almost deleted them but decided to SHARE them instead!
Why?
Because there is NO right or wrong way to pose in a bikini!
Put the damn bathing suit on and flaunt what you’ve got, girlfriend. You only live once and other people’s opinions of you DO NOT MATTER!
We all look different from one moment to the next. We all have unique bodies that appear differently depending on the lighting, the angle of the camera, and your pose. That perfect picture you see somebody post on social media might have taken 100 tries to get. I know because that’s how I take mine! My oh-so-patient boyfriend just snaps away as I do my thing. In the end I have hundreds of pictures to go through to find the best ones.
Look at the unedited photos below…
In the first one I am posed in a way that makes my legs look longer and I’m facing away from the sun which makes my skin look smoother. In the next one my leg is in direct light which emphasizes my cellulite. Which is completely natural and NORMAL. I have been thin my entire life and always had it! I just want to show how easy it is to hide it.
The next two photos were taken moments apart but look how different my body looks. In the first one, I am standing straight, holding my stomach tight, and pointing my leg and foot to look taller. In the second photo I was laughing and not holding my posture straight which makes me appear shorter.
ALL OF THESE PHOTOS ARE GREAT PHOTOS!
You should never be ashamed of how your body looks and never, ever compare yourself to somebody else. I just wanted to share this post as a reminder that most social media is a highlight reel of our best moments and not an accurate reflection of real life.
Put on that smile and go pose in a bikini!
